Media playback

Resolume can display a variety of different media. Movie formats: Mpeg, Quicktime and AVI. Flash files. Picture sequences (.bmp .jpg .psd). And Freeframe source plugins.

Movies, flash and picture sequences all behave similar so you can scratch a picture sequence or a flash animation just as easy as a movie.

A freeframe source plugin is a small piece of software that generates graphics that are programmed using the open freeframe plugin standard. These plugins can be used to program any type of motion graphics you can imagine.

Flash files are great in resolume. They provide a very high image quality because no compression is used and their vector data can be rendered smoothly at any resolution. Using flash action scripting you can interactively display any text send in through resolume. Even the entire audio analysis data of resolume is available in action scripting, enabling you to write complex audio visualizations in flash.
