Hello, I tried to playback an 4k ProRes Mov File. It did run with 5.8fps on a Pentium 3.5GHZ / AMD 280X gfx / R5.1Arena It didn´t speed up when deactivating the preview for the played movie by clicking on an empty field. It did speed up when I activated the preview for another file with FullHD resol...
ok, this might explain why I experienced less stuttering when I set the clip speed on the slaves manually to 99% after the clip started to play ... so what resolume actually needs is some sort of lag-compensation for the osc playhead data. To be fair, this doesn´t sound too complicated, at least if ...
Thanks for your answer! I wonder about the frame stuttering ... starting the clips in a synced way ain´t a problem in my view, but keeping the clips in sync is the difficult part. Syncing via SMTPE is causing less stuttering than OSC in your experience? I would imagine that than this might be a bug ...
Hey, thanks guys for your help! You are awesome! :-) @ Joris: I only managed to sync playheads when I use exactly identical compositions on each computer, so each computer was processing the same master video file with all data inside. The master computer is sending osx sync data via unicast (.255) ...
Maybe the FPS Counter is just broken?
I recognized on Win10 with AMD R280X that fps jumped up heaps when using "no vsync" option, still 70fps looked and behaved more like 30fps. There were some more occasions when the fps counter didn´t reflect the action on the screen..
Heyho, I need to make a small installation in two months from now, I need to control 32 XGA Projectors which are placed in 4 different places. They all project on the same surface, so the projectors will all be (partially) stacked and Edge-Blended. Now I wonder if this can be done with Resolume. Con...
Update:
Problem persists with R5, but with an interesting twitch, now Resolume is displaying display11 and display12 instead of display1 / display2 ... not sure if this has to say anything, but that´s what I observed and wondered about.
