Blending mode Alpha over video

Post by LJ2F »

Hi everyone !
I'm trying to do a composition in resolume 6 but I don't know how to do.
Let's see !

I have 3 clips :
- video clip1 in RGB without alpha
- video clip A with just an alpha chanel (completly white)
- video clip2 in RGB without alpha for my background

I want to play my clip1 through my clip A (my alpha clip) and the result of both over my clip2 which is my background.

So, here what I've done :
in layer 1 : I put my clip A (alpha straight) with 50 mask as my blending mode
in layer 2 : I put my clip1 to be cut out by my alpha in layer 1
(good, my clip1 is playing through my alpha chanel)
in layer 3 : I put my clip 2 as my background

But, my problem is my layer 3 is also affected by my alpha. How can I manage to put a background at the bottom of my comp without being affected by my alpha ?

Thanks, thanks, thanks for the help

Cool !
Just right click on layer with "Luma is alpha" > Mask mode > select "one below"

It was disabled that's why I did not understand
