hello dear developpers
Because it seems not so difficult , could we have a little contribution to the freeframe community users from you to have a shadow FFGL filter. I mean something like the perspective shadow filter in after effect. With opacity, direction, distance et softness parameter. Should be to apply in real time for moving object , flash text, everything
with alpha channel and transparency to add deph with shadow projection on the background.
thanks to think about that ))

take care

I'm not a developer, but it sounds to me like a great idea! :!:

I've had that exact same idea in the back of my mind for a while now. I use a lot of pre-rendered drop shadows with DXV footage, and on the right screen it adds a really nice sense of depth. Just need to find the time to make the effect ;-)

We were a bit fed up with programming boring stuff today so Dani wrote this drop shadow FFGL plugin ;-)

after some test i CAN say it works good but I have some suggestions
- should be better to have a transparency parameter and a softness parameter
to choose if the edge of the shadow are smooth or not and if it's full black or not
it should not exactly the same result as actually
and could it be possible to have more choice for the distance to add more depth
finally I don't see something happen with size shadow parameter
thanks for all )

when distance is set to 0 you have a stroke around the text or anything else but it's interesting effect
