PIXELTAPE...

Post by VJ_Lazershaft »

Hi

I'm working on a stage for a small festival this summer and we've put together a design that mixes pixel tape and projection mapping, I'll be handling the visuals and working with a friend of mine who is the LD...

Currently we're thinking of running the tape off a dedicated desk, it will be run via artnet and looking at different standalone softwares for Mac, OR to run the tape fully from within resolume...

Can anyone offer any advice on which way round is the better way to do this (There will be about 3200 'pixels' to deal with) and if it's the latter where do I start?!

The pixel tape won't be arranged in a grid so we're not looking at image type results, they will be dispersed in angled strips across the set but they will be RGBW...

Okay so that's it, interested to hear your thoughts!...

I'd route everything through the desk for redundancy.
