Something can be said for an image sequence like that, since the hard edges and high contrast is captured quite well in Gif format. Pity OP didn't come up with something like that

All in all, animated gifs are great for being able to directly show funny clips on your Tumblr, where bandwidth is important, and image quality and a stable framerate not so much. Resolume puts quality first, and animated gifs just don't fit into that.

If you really need to use this content in a VJ set, you can convert animated gifs to .movs in a few seconds using Quicktime Pro.
