Pc to Mac - Connect

Hey Guys & Gals,

I am finally starting to put my AV set together and I'm hoping to get it on the road soon enough.

Im still on Res 3.3.3 and wondering what the best way to connect a pc to mac via midi?

Is it a simple solution of just an Ethernet cable or so i need something more?

The AV set up will consist of Ableton and Resolume.
