The Dj mode is for clip triggering and alike
While the Effector mode is the midi CC controls - 24 controllers 2 buttons per controller, up and down nudging. Or you can change the value with the rotary. I love the way the value is counted on the buttons.
The drum pad mode is just that.
still haven't figured the Daw mode.

SketchSynth, by Billy Keyes, is a drawable OSC control panel which lets you create your own control panels, with just a marker and a piece of paper. Once drawn, the controller sends Open Sound Control (OSC) messages to anything that can receive them; in this case, a synthesizer running in Pure Data.
