Baking a Video Projection

Question: Is it possible to bake a video projection output? I'd like to use Arena to map a video installation but once the mapping is done bake the output loop into a single file so it can be run off a USB stick media player for long term playback. That way I don't have to run a computer with Arena ...

Re: Do you need a DMX or LED pixel driver?

Hey Frankie, I do still have the pixel driver and DMX controller. Shoot me a PM or Email and we can chat more. frouketenvelden was unable to buy the driver due to the shipping costs to the EU. Hopefully you are in the USA.

Re: Where to start with controlling LED strips through Resolume

A bit late to the conversation here, but if you want to just start experimenting with LED strips. The Enttec Pixie Driver works native with Resolume via USB. You can skip the DMX controller. Having a DMX controller is handy since it allows for longer distances from computer to LED strip, however if ...

Re: Mapping LED Rings using Arena and AE

Hi Oaktown, Good point on the single LED method. The down side is a very messy set of single fixtures that are not grouped together. I'd like to see grouping added as a feature request for this very reason. I have some more complex custom LED fixtures that are cut to letter shapes that would benefit...

Mapping LED Rings using Arena and AE

While working on a project I came across a limitation of the Resolume's LED fixtures. There is no support for non-rectangular configurations. I have a Adafruit NeoPixelr LED ring that was just not going map properly out of the box. So I cam up with a solution in After Effects that converts a circula...

Re: OSC manual

@ravensc, I'm curious what messages you are seeing when a deck is loading. You should be able to trigger and get confirmation of a deck load with the following OSC command. /composition/deck#/select # = the position of the deck order 1-10+ Are you trying to get confirmation of what clips have loaded...

Re: Arena crop tool

There is no triangle slide option, however you can make a rectangular slice, and then crop/mask it with a triangle. When you first create a mask shape it has four points. Select one point and then delete it, and voila you have a triangle mask.

Re: MWM & C4D & Resolume

Hi He2Neg, Syphon is for Mac only. However there is a project call Wyphon trying to do something similar on windows using DirectX. There is also a FreeframeGL bridge that could also work if MWM supported FreeFrame GL in the future. At this point it would be on the developer to implement those featur...
