I think I was probably expecting too much from Resolume because I was mixing footage and other sources as well as having touchdesigner as a source. As long as I am only using only touchdesigner, it works fine.

I have now found that it is indeed possible to see the output on a Chamsys visualiser, so all good - it is all a question of setting the input/output for Artnet in the setup/view DMX I/O so the input/output does not clash.
