Re: Akai APC40 - need help

Thank you! I guess I thought it was already mapped out. I am in the process of setting the map and it seems to be working nicely. However I have a question. When setting the map, only 1 layer is highlighted for editing. Personally, I would like to edit each layer sperately. For instance, this APC40...

Re: Akai APC40 - need help

Have you mapped it out? It isn't automatically mapped out you have to customize your control layout. Go to "Mapping" in the menu bar and edit either the application or composition midi map. Select something in Resolume you want to be mapped to your controller, then hit the button or twist ...

Re: ATI Radeon 6870 crashing Avenue

I have an ATI Radeon 6870 (XFX 2GB) in my hackintosh and haven't had any issues with Resolume (On both 10.7 and now 10.8), are you sure there isn't something else running that is interfering and could be causing Resolume to crash? I'm pretty sure I am using the native ATI6000Controller.kext as my gr...

Re: Retina MBP and Resolume Arena

It Can run 3 displays... awsome! so the next question is, can it run 3 tripleheads? :D Probably, but if you are dealing with three huge resolutions probably not that smoothly . But I have been wondering since thunderbolt is based on the PCIe technology, and has the same bandwidth, an external graph...

Re: Post your mapping videos

Here is a project that I have been working on for a while that I just finished. The majority of it was done in After Effects and Cinema 4D, with the final mapping being done using the advanced output feature of Resolume Arena (4.0.1). My composition before being mapped out was 800x1800 (the output r...

Re: Feature - Early Abstract Film

:D Ah I am so glad you made this post. Taking an early cinema history class for my major was one of the main things that introduced me to early visual music and influenced me to learn more about VJing. That one you posted of Mary Ellen Bute is probably one of my favorites, I just love the way that i...

Re: Advanced Output App

I used a Stylus today and that works much better. The pointer accuracy was probably my finger being to thick. Air Display works on Windows although any OpenGL or DirectX content is not supported. You just get a frozen image. That's a shame and i hope they can fix it in future updates. Is OpenGL con...

Re: Advanced Output App

Ahh, just had a look at the code and i got an access violation when running the Air app. But it was a simple fix. Now it's running fine, 4.1 will contain this fix. The controls in the Advanced Screen Setup however are a bit too small to control with your fingers and it seems that the Air app is a b...
