knowledge bank: dell e6420 optimus openGL renderer force graphics card nvidia nvs 4200m

howdy - this is to serve as a search result for anyone who needs it in the future. if you have any supporting info, please feel free to post it, but this is not necessarily a request for assistance. i'm using a Latitude E6420 which has 2 vid cards - the nvidia nvs 4200m (which you'll want to use in ...

best way to "Erase" a section of a video clip?

beginner here. thanks for your time. here's my scenario. as an example, we'll use this gif and pretend it's a video clip: http://i865.photobucket.com/albums/ab219/TheNecromanticCat/ORIGINAL%20SIZE%20ANIMATIONS/spiral_001_198x198.gif imagine that i wanted to use this as an overlay, so that the black ...

FR: on/off mouse triggering in "piano" mode

please interpret my recent slew of FRs as interest and the result of my productivity with Resolume, rather than any perceived shortcomings. OK - so i'm using PIANO style triggers for all clips because i'm triggering them mostly from MIDI from my launchpad. this works great. note on, note off both fu...

FR: ability to set clip "thumbnail" from a still in the vide

sometimes i have video files that have several different cuts in them. for example, a video file containing different microscope images. if i copy these across different clip slots and adjust the start point, the same thumbnail is used for each clip. it would be very handy to be able to choose a thu...

Re: status? midi feedback: clip status: playing, loaded, empty

since this thread started, i have successfully used a combination of Puredata and Bidule to get clip feedback on my launchpad. as mentioned elsewhere, i use an 8x8 resolume grid to correspond to my launchpad. it looks great, and really helps me visualize what's going on. it was a lot of work, but it...

please allow diffrnt layer blend modes per layer per deck

i often wish that i wasn't tied to having the same layer blend modes on the same layers on every single deck. i wish decks could (optionally?) have independent and unique layers from other decks, where deck 1's layer 1 has "LIA, ADD, BURN" and deck 2's layer 1 has "LKI, Shif, Dodg&quo...

FR: remember program GUI settings between sessions

i run a monitor turned 90 degrees so that it is taller than it is wide this is to create an 8x8 clip grid to correspond to my launchpad. it is a great way to work. however, every single time i load Resolume, i have to grasp the separator and bring it down so that the 8x8 clips are visible, rather th...

Re: status? midi feedback: clip status: playing, loaded, empty

hmm, i see, i also see that they don't update when you rename the clip manually. even after saving/reopening the project, the osc message contains the original filename rather than the clip name. that's OK - this might work though, thanks!
