Re: NVIDIA NVS 810 for new system

If you need your content to reach that large of a scale for mapping purposes, then what you should actually be doing is downscaling the slice in the Input Selection , not upscaling the slice in Output Transformation. This will accomplish the same visual effect you are looking for, without having ext...

Re: Alternative to fx4

I've had no issue with a 2016 Macbook Pro HDMI out. Going to test later this week with a 2019 MBP using a 4K60 cable (Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI).

Bump - can anyone on this forum who owns Datapath capture cards run a similar benchmark?

Re: I need PC build for live feed and almost no delay

meshal, can you say why you use the Blackmagic as your primary card, as opposed to the Datapath? I have had better experience personally with Datapath capture cards, in terms of low latency. I'm also told that Barco, disguise, etc. use Datapath cards in many of their units.

Re: fisheye-correction plugin?

I’m shooting from the hip here, but GoPro Studio is a free software with a fisheye correction feature. Of course, it’s designed for the GoPro camera and may not be as flexible as you need, but it’s free.

Re: Capturing High Quality Resolume Output/General Video Rendering Question

Honestly the best way to do this would be to NOT record video on the same machine that you’re generating content with. You can imagine what a load that is putting on your Macbook - even the new one. The simplest and easiest way to do this would be to use a Blackmagic capture device. You can buy a Mi...

Re: Alternative to fx4

Last thing to note is that the Fx4 keeps all frames in sync, and the AJA HA5-4K can be offset by about 1 frame, or ~50ms. Another user ran a test and provided these numbers here, I believe in a thread specifically about the HA5-4K. If they are all separate screens, and especially if they are all pla...

Re: Razer Blade 15 GPU

As someone who does not own a Razer Blade: - I’d spring for the 2080 just to future proof. For any pro’s out there ready to hit me with the law of diminishing returns, now is your chance to roast me. - I’m not a fan of using Arena with small-form 4K displays (under 24”). Everything is so tiny! I got...

Re: PC rig for 6 outputs

This is a good thread.

Here’s a hopeful question - let’s say I didn’t use the loop thru (in order to achieve 60Hz) but I used two different outputs from the GPU, each to its own Datapath FX4-SDI.

Would a simple BNC cable sync the frames?
