OSC names are only sent on clip activation

Hey guys. Been playing with OSC or a while and ideally I want to release a template everyone can use for Lemur and Resolume 6. https://i.imgur.com/AnDqQ3K.png Previously I had problems with latency in my composition, which currently has 40 columns of clips on 4 layers. Once I turned off Output all O...

Re: Predator Helios 300 freezes when viewing advanced output

Sounds indeed like the Optimus bug. Have you tried the other workarounds mentioned in http://resolume.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=15711#p66396 ? This is indeed the issue. I will contact Acer to see if they can help me, but it's not looking good. I'm just glad I realized what specifically cau...

Re: Predator Helios 300 freezes when viewing advanced output

I will also note that Windows update (the Spring 2018 update) as well as a BIOS update did not solve this issue.

Predator Helios 300 freezes when viewing advanced output

So as far as I know this is a known issue with Resolume 6. On laptops with extra GPUs you have to disable the integrated GPU to prevent this. However, the Acer Predator Helios 300 does not have this option in the BIOS. I also read that disabling the iGPU will disable your laptop display. Basically, ...

Re: Text data over OSC

At the risk of derailing the thread, I'm starting to wonder whether we're not abusing a control protocol to represent software state. Open Sound *Control* is meant to provide very low latency and high precision control over parameters. What you're doing now, is gathering a lot of control data, and ...

Using an HDMI splitter did the trick just fine, everything works great now with the AverMedia PCIe.

Re: AverMedia Capture HD

You have to set the resolution of the composition before adding it, Is this on Resolume 6? Yes. ...I know AverMedia stuff works ok with Resolume... Never did! Does it? Since when? What´s going on? Since AVerMedia uses DirectShow, it works *ok.* Not great, but ok. I have this capture card (CaptureHd...

Mac computers and HDCP

Anyone have problems with Macbooks giving HDCP errors when outputting from a Mac to a capture card? I installed a rig at a club with an AVerMedia DarkStar HD capture card. Worked fine for the PC DJ, hooked it up to a nice HDMI splitter, but when we get the MacBook DJ's video input (They use Serato t...

Re: AJA U-TAP capture card

So I did a festival this weekend using the U-Tap. There was a very noticeable delay from the live cameras. The U-Tap works great when used for laptop input (websites, and powerer point) but I really haven't seen such a bad delay as this before. (Could be due to a Windows update, but It's highly unl...

Re: HD video capture devices FOR LIVE FEED

Hey guys, just wanted to give a review of the AverMedia DarkCrystal HD, which is a PCIe gaming capture card and very moderately priced: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002SQE1O0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I know AverMedia stuff works ok with Resolume since it uses DirectShow ...
