By the way, when you say "cheap" -- does it mean there are better? Does it mean the "cheap" ones are not worth it? Do you have some examples for us?

I mean there are some notes on setting Resolution, but those are specific to Resolume; I couldn't see what I'm looking for, which is broader definitio...

I see; actually I should have mentioned I'm working on a laptop, which means capture cards might not be an option (unless they have a PCMCIA version). In that case USB or Firewire might be the only input options, wouldn't they?

I admit I haven't used the V-4 before, although I've been eyeing it, so I guess I may not be that qualified for an answer, but on the face of it the design seem to have its advantages. Hi,
Was just curious: seems like you've used Edirol's V-4 on gigs -- How did it behave? Was considering it as a simple, relativelly cheap solution for switching between inputs, is that what you all use it for?
