Re: 16bit DMX fixtures and pixel drawing

If you want to pull specific channels of the fixture, maybe you can do that in a lighting console. Thanks for the response, I didn't see it until now. As far as controlling from a console that is indeed something we do. In this case I don't think the console could do it directly as it would be a me...

Re: 16bit DMX fixtures and pixel drawing

Resolume outputs the pixel data based on the video played, so changing the video opacity, or the colors with effects would probably do this in software. I do currently do that for on the fly adjustments as a whole. The purpose behind having a lumiverse or fixture assignment of this would be to cali...

Re: 16bit DMX fixtures and pixel drawing

Hi, Wondering if there's been any progress on 16bit pixels or quicker ways to implement abstract designs. In the last year since posting this I'd say almost every light I use now is 16bit capable. Some new common ones since last post would be: Chroma Q ColorForce 2 72 Rupixel Panels Astera Titan Tub...

Save DMX mapping

Maybe it's obvious and I've missed it, but how do I save my DMX mapping? It doesn't seem to save into the composition, so I can't move it to another machine. I also had an issue where I had to restore a backup and reinstall Resolume but then had to rebuild the mapping after my comp was loaded. I'd l...

Re: LED MAPPING SETUP

I'd move your controller and psu as close to the setup as possible. 5v will experience a lot of line loss and will cause off colors and poor response. Also consider not pushing all the amperage through the controller and doing a multifeed approach.

16bit DMX fixtures and pixel drawing

Many of the RGB/AW lights I work with are 16bit. It'd be great to support these instead of going back to 8bit with less resolution and low output steppiness. It would also be incredible to have a way of drawing pixels and then applying the patching. Many of the LED ribbon rigs I fall into have total...

Re: SMPTE playback freezes

Thanks for your quick response. I'm trying to replicate it now on a different day in a different place and am having issues doing it. This makes me think it was the cable setup at the venue and possibly something with the D3 server. Because it's still unknown I'll dive into it deeper when I get the ...

SMPTE playback freezes

Hi, I'm new to Resolume so maybe this is a newbie mistake. Thanks in advance for your help. I'm trying to playback a simple 1080 dxv file for use in a pixelmap, controlled by SMPTE. It all talks and works except it will freeze at the 5 second mark, it will resume either 10 seconds later or when time...
