Re: ... but is it art?

I believe improvising is something very special though. You act without thinking and are drawing an intelligence from sources that science cannot study. Such as? Improvised intelligence from devine injection? Fact is that people don`t care if VJing is live or not. Actually I think they dont care ab...

Re: Why did Resolume have to change?

Hmm, I know what Im gonna do! I am gonna get a Lemur, design a copy of the resolume 2 interface on it and then map all the controllers to the corresponding ones in Avenue :) I mean it is true, if you integrate the MIDI controlability down to more or less every control in the application, you make th...

Re: Why did Resolume have to change?

Exactly my opinion too. No complaints about the new version. It is great software, but really the workflow is totally different, not as spontaneous as in Resolume 2. Had a gig yesterday with one computer running resolume 2 and the other one running resolume 3. I really think that on the long run the...

good news from notorious macbook

It seems like (about one hour of testing done), that after installing the latest macos updated (must have been released today or yesterday) Avenue runs without the previously observed crashing on a macbook 2.4GHz, 2GB RAM etc. (black one) with osx 10.5 Performance with Live running a few tracks in t...

Sorry, I meant the opposite, as the memory is separated, no writes to system memory to cause crashes are possible..

Re: mac trouble

Ah, cool, thanks. So as long as you guys are working on it I guess it is gonna be alright. Probably the amount of opengl being emulated / supported by the integrated chipset and its macos driver has improved over the different macbook versions. So as I have a fairly recent one, I just have crashed s...

Re: mac trouble

Thank you very much for the answer. When I rechecked the forum archives I found that you had indeed said before that the Intel Integrated chipset is not going to be supported. Well, bad luck for me. But it also means that if I cannot get rid of my macbook for a good price (and that is becoming more ...

mac trouble [fixed]

Hello, sorry for bothering the forum with my macbook trouble all the time. I have just one question: As I already wrote I just bought a macbook. Actually just before resolume 3 was released, so at that time I didnt know about it being incompatible with macbooks. As it was anounced that resolume will...

macbook again

Hello, I bought a licence for avenue today and used it for a gig for the first time. It was nice, but it crashed several times (which was not too much of a problem because I have backup sources). I use a macbook and as I wrote in an earlier post I tried to observe as closely as possible which behavi...
