This is a grey area for most of us I think. The problem with VJs calling themselves Vjs is that it's only part of the picture. There is the other side where we sit for hours building animations, shooting our own footage and editing it for use in a live performance. This is what gives us our own look...

Mapping out midi is pretty easy in Resolume. I had a look at these units and they look like great little devices but you'll need to buy a Midi to USB interface to connect them to your laptop as they all have Midi out only. Personally I would go for something that has a USB connection built in. I use...

Soundbite Micro with Resolume Midi Clock

For anyone interested in a good solution to getting a midi clock signal from a DJ mixer check out the Redsound -Soundbite Micro. I contacted them to get a bit more info and it looks a winner and not too expensive either. It's a problem I've been looking into for a while as a majority of my gigs are ...

Cheers for that.
Looks like a winner. I was looking at another unit which is:

Pioneer effect machine - efx 500

but the Soundbite Micro is a lot cheaper and smaller.
I've contacted them to get a bit more info.
Thanks again

Cool.
Going to try out the BPM clock at my next gig in a couple of weeks - see how it goes. Hade a few practice runs in the house. Great to have a bit of extra freedom to concentrate on other things.
Looking forward to it.

Nice one.
