Re: 2+ blackmagic intensity shuttles ?

Sorry for being a bit naive. But how are you using the blackmagic intensity cards anyway?
Wondering if it's solely for capture, input cameras, will they mix HD video for outputing?

Thanks!

Re: 3 screen compositions

Went with a new Nvidia 470 and 120GB SSD

Resolume is flying, thank you.

Re: output issues

What I'm getting is 2560x1024 across two screens. One is a 17" 4x3, the other is a 16x9 27". This is the highest resolution in the height parameter because of the 17" native 1280x1024. Technically, I should be able to run, in span mode, 3584x1024. Can I run two 17" (identical) screens: one for gui, ...

output issues

Can't get this to work: I'm using a 17" lcd (1280x1024) as the software controller and trying to output to a 27" (2560x1440) monitor. My composition is 1920x480. I've read some posts and the 3D nVidia setting didn't help. The only thing I'm able to do is use the Windowed mode. Am I supposed to use t...

Re: Solid State Drives

Okay, went with a brand spanking new Nvidia 470 card with 1280GB of memory and a 120GB solid state drive. Everything is working very well so far, no hiccups so I'm very happy :-) Think I finally built something worth performing with. 1920x480 x 3 layers no problem (each layer about 800MB). DXV is ru...

can resolume adjust output feed horizontally?

Since it is not always an option to use the triplehead for three screen projections, it may be wise to only use two screens Because all my content is 1920x480, my answer is to only send video to two projectors while still using the triplehead. My question is: Is it possible to horizontally move reso...

Re: Solid State Drives

Going with a SSD and a nVidia GTX 470 with 1280 MB next week to help playback of 1920x480 clips which has been mediocre, even with DXV codec. One are is the size of the clips. A two minute clip is 1GB. My GPU is has only 800MB of ram, plus I only have 3.5 GB of volatile ram. Hoping to see some impro...

Re: 3 screen compositions

Great, because I'm mixing with all 1920x480 clips. My GPU is GeForce 260 with 0.8GB of memory. Should I go for a card that has more memory since the video files are so large? Or will I see more performance from upgrading my hard-drive from 7000rpm to 10000rpm? A 2 minute movie at 1920x480 is typical...

DXV interlace vs progressive

Is there a difference between the new DXV codec when it comes to rendering interlace vs. progressive? I used both and noticed the size of the movies are the same either way. So I went with interlaced and now I'm reading there might be a performance issue with interlaced over progressive. Should I be...

Re: 3 screen compositions

There is a big difference between the two resolution although not very obvious. Resolume 3 needs to work with power-of-two textures (to ensure maximum capability) and when using 1920x480 , textures (for offscreen rendering) are created at 2048x512 size. Running at 2160 x 480, textures need to be cr...
