Re: BEST VIDEO MIXER FOR R3? (NOT MIDI)

All your prayers answered. I've been waiting years for this product and it's being created by a VJ.
How cool is that. Most devices that mix HD sources range from $5000-12000. This unit will be in the $1200 range.

The new Edirol V8 has a single VGA input. It's over twice the price of a V4, but offers 8 inputs (all are SD) http://tinyurl.com/lmsog6 There has been some discussion on using an Intestity Pro http://tinyurl.com/hl79h to mix two signals, in HD for that matter. Re: 3 screen compositions

when using 1920x480 , textures (for offscreen rendering) are created at 2048x512 size. In theory, outputting 2048x512 will run at the same frame rate as 1920x480. What happens to the extra rendering? Would it be faster to run the 512? I mean, make movie layers in this resolution size to begin with?...

Re: 3 screen compositions

There is a big difference between the two resolution although not very obvious. Resolume 3 needs to work with power-of-two textures (to ensure maximum capability) and when using 1920x480 , textures (for offscreen rendering) are created at 2048x512 size. Running at 2160 x 480, textures need to be cr...

Re: First Resolume gig recap, from a programmer standpoint

This is great and sad news. Hoping to mix at 1920x480 myself. I'm not really interested in going crazy with effects as much as just being able to mix two 3 minute layers and change the second while the first is playing smoothly. This way I can mix through a bunch of long clips. Sure adding effects a...

Re: Highest resolution

hmm, I'm interested in being comfortably mixing 1920x480.
Will it help me that the height is small even though the width is large?

I have an average new pc with a duel core and Nvidia 260
