Re: FeedBack

Hi Basic Good to hear you're enjoying the ride so far, and thanks for the kind words. Switching decks is one of the things that we are constantly working on improving. All improvements will always be made available via free updates. Be sure to check regularly for those. Again, thank you and have fun...

Re: Tap Tempo

And although slightly off topic, regarding the questions about the possibility of realtime BPM detection from an audio stream: this is a very common and often heard request, but very hard to get right. The human brain is one of the best pattern detectors there is, and we can very easily make out com...

Re: Help - Resolume 3 crashing on startup - gig tonight

For future reference:

The problem was caused by a M-Audio Torq Xponent with external sound card. Disconnecting it, starting Resolume and then reactivating it solved the issue.

Re: Behaviour patterns on modulated parameters, ala VDMX

Hahaha

Over at the VDMX forums people are asking for clip based effects like Resolume has, and here people ask for behaviours like VDMX has.

I see one giant monster app called AVDMXenue as the future. May have to work on that name a little bit though.

;)

This one is recommended by a few folks on vjforums.com.

It's generally a good idea to check out the several threads they have on the subject there: http://vjforums.com/showthread.php?t=30431

Hi Tim

I've just replied via the support account. Let's continue the discussion there. Once we've sussed out the problem, I'll post it here for future reference.

Re: Macbook Pro4,1 and SSD

Hey Smuseus I have the same model MBP and it doesn't have an eSata connection. SSD drives come with different connections though, so you might want to look into getting a FW800 one. As a side note, after your initial post, I did a test with 4 layers of 1280x720 DXV 25 fps clips playing at the same t...

Re: both output and preview dont work!!!!!!!

Hey Nottafinga Sorry to hear you're having problems. From what you describe it's hard to figure out what is causing the problem exactly. If both the output and the preview monitor are not showing anything, it's more likely this hasn't so much to do with your two screen setup, and the problem probabl...

Re: Tap Tempo

Hi john

I'm not sure if I understand the question. As far as I know, there is no good way to get a proper BPM from an audio signal, and the preferred way would be to use the (already implemented) tap button to tap along to the music. But maybe I'm totally missing the point?

Re: Masks, Stills, Grab, Freeze and scratch

Hi John Regarding the stills: for doing gigs relying on such dynamic content updates, I generally recommend going through Flash or a similar app which can handle the changes in the 'pot' programmatically. That way you won't be burdening Resolume with the task of constantly checking for and loading n...
