Re: MP4 loading problem.

MP4 is a pretty rough format for batch encoders. MPEG streamclip and apple's compressor both have issues with it. Adobe media encoder and Sorensen squeeze does a good job of handling it i've found. Using MP4's is probably the number one reason resolume will repeatedly crash on new users. I've seen m...

Re: GPU SPECS for resolume performance

A good rule of thumb is not using dual gpu cards because Resolume seems to have some issues with dual GPU cards. I ran into random crashes when a team member brought a server with a test 6990 in the machine instead of our old standard 7970. We're using GTX 680's now and its been great on render time...

Sometimes the wrong clip can be useful in finding new combinations.

Re: Barebones purchase Advice

What resolution do you want these 5 layers to be playing at?

The second one is slightly better GPU wise. Notice that there is no hard drive mentioned in the pack. Grabbing a 1TB drive and 120GB ssd are more important then the slight difference in video cards.

Re: Capture Card with RCA/BNC inputs

Stickygreen is right on the money. Grab a pci intensity pro, it can handle what you want. But using composite is gonna look pretty stretched making it fit a 1600x900 LED. Using Sdi may be a better fit for your budget since your LED walls are so big. Have you tested your triplehead into the led contr...

Re: CITP, Edge Blending and a few other things

I read that CITP was being worked on for Resolume 5. A sneaky work around for now is taking MaxMSP or Quartz composer and converting Resolume's OSC output to art net.

Re: Major problem!

Keep me updated on the details Trypta. That Quadro 5000 I got from you is on a fairly light video tour but i'll have it back on monday. I'll do some stress testing and see if the 5000 and k5000 have the same bug. When a solution comes about give me a shout on facebook.

Re: New rig...

Doesn't Resolume only use one GPU and only the one with the GUI? Whats the point of having the cards like that?
Maybe for stability?

Or are you doubling up for the cuda cores and rendering content?

Re: DMX control

How about taking the keyboard and mouse away when you have it synced?

Your problem is that your controlling visuals out of reach and someone is changing things, which messes up your cuing, correct?
