Re: Live Cam issue

100% not going to be a Blackmagic issue here. It’s just doing a simple sdi to hdmi conversion, stick a test monitor in there and check, but it can’t possibly cause your PC to slow down! Issue will be a Magewell comparability/driver issue somewhere. As a quick test, try opening your Magewell source i...

Re: Clay Paky B-Eye

I’m afraid I don’t know what you mean by “pixel node” but no, you should be able to control one b-eye (rgb data for pixels only!) directly with your computer and an Ethernet cable.

Re: Clay Paky B-Eye

You can drive the pixel engine on the B eye separately from the “basic engine”. So you can go direct from computer to fixture using Artnet (Ethernet) cable. They don’t have artnet loop out, so you’ll probably need one or more network switches if you’ve got multiple B Eyes. This assumes you’re drivin...

Re: How to Animate the Position of a Still Image?

Quite a few ways! Change your “X” position from “basic” to “timeline” and play with the parameters until you like it. This way is best for a looping car. Changing to “clip position” would then allow you to use an envelope on the x position that is applied over the duration of the image. This way you...

I don’t recall anybody testing one yet (and announcing it!). You might be the first to report back!

Re: macbook based hardware

I don’t believe there’s any loss of quality, and the bonus is that they are perfectly in sync. To answer the first part of your question, your Mac, and the “output transform” side of Arenas advanced output will see the Datapath as a single display. (You would set the EDID of the Datapath to be 3840x...

Re: macbook based hardware

I’ve never used more than one input card, so can’t really offer advice on that element. I have heard of people using an external pci enclosure to hold one of the larger Blackmagic cards. On the output side you’ve got lots of options. Do you need to create a blend or are the projections physically se...
