Re: Media catalog

hey near, that's a good idea. I would also love to have such a tagging system - but it should be an open standard, to ensure compatibility to other vj/editing software. how do you organize your clips at the moment? - Recently I've had a discussion with other vj's what's the best way to keep footage ...

Re: Stuttering Playback

ups, forgot to mention the specs  Yes, I've tested under Windows XP SP3 P4 - 3,4GHz /1,5 GB RAM ATI Radeon HD 3600 And yes, it runs smoothly in Quicktime player and also when there is only one layer playing in Resolume. Maybe I've missed something, but your file is encoded @ 25fps. I would say...

Re: Stuttering Playback

Hi cat, I've downloaded your clip. Put it (always the same physical file) into 3 Layers with the following results. Layer(s) FPS CPU(Avenue.exe) 0 60 30% 1 33 60% 2 17 74% 3 12 74% With just one layer it seems to be okay, but when I add a second or third one the frame rate drops. I've also observed,...

Re: Codec for Dual-Booting

Hi fongaboo! I have exactly the same problem. OSX and XP and how to deal with performance issues :? There is the suggestion to use MJPEG and AVI on Windows; PHOTO JPEG and MOV on OSX. And I think that's the way to go! Yes, encode the footage twice! I did tests on Windows with some PAL footage ...

Re: BUG? Shift + F (resize) doesn't seem to work

Hi!

I've had the same "problem". YOU have to define a contextual keyboard mapping for this button. You can use SHIFT+F or any other shortcut! ;)

R3 rev1110: auto resize (Shift + f) / resize of layer window

Hi! Edwin, thanks for the clock ;) - I also like the possibility to do a custom mapping for cue point keys. (However it took me a bit to understand, that I have to do a custom mapping) I can auto resize the clips using the icon in the clip properties resize-button.png but I cannot figure out how to ...

Re: HELP! Painfully slow clip playback!

fallengrace01, I'm not a (hardware) expert, but I think that's normal for a system with these specs. And the things you are doing :?: I experienced similar things with R3 on a Vista machine. Big PICVideo files (800MB up to 1.1GB per file) from one disk. But had no time to investigate that... Is the ...

gpvillamil wrote:"value catching"
that's exactly what I meant. ;) - I think the Edirol v-4 does also this value catching when the T bar is out of sync.

but I have to try the "MIDI endless" function - maybe this works too :?:
