Re: Working on a projection show away from the projector

Only thing I can think of is use the advanced output windows quick key to swap back and fourth.
You could also create another virtual desktop on OSX and use ctrl+ left or right arrow to quickly swap between the two.

Re: Christmas Project

Hi pmbarber, This sounds like a fun idea! Will you be using projectors or DMX lighting fixtures? In regards to the composition, I would setup a solid color input source on several layers and map those layers X & Y positions all around the comp. You would want setup those positions to fit on the ...

Re: Securing Content - Secured Media Library ???

Digitrevx, If the laptop has Thunderbolt or usb 3.1 That seems like a really good solution. With the transfer speeds where they are today, I don't see why using one of those solid state external drives would be out of the question. You can have certain content on certain decks linked to said hard dr...

Re: Build set for 6 outputs 25-30FPS in 1920x1080.

Okatown, Thanks for saving the day! I was about to purchase a new Skylake 6700 in a few weeks and Didn't even think about the PCIE Lane support..... I just assumed and just remember where that gets people. Thank you for the reminder to check ALL the specs. Does intel have a current spreadsheet with ...

Re: Securing Content - Secured Media Library ???

Personally this whole idea sounds awful haha, sorry. Just my 2 cents. Now that I've stated that, Let me try to throw a few idea's around in the 'ol think tank. I fear the biggest problem is going to be the access time between computer and resolume..... maybe it won't be an issue?? Maybe find somethi...

Re: Streaming online webcams into Resolume?

I personally use IPCAM2SYPHON. IT allows for 16 camera's to be set as input sources. Just need the IP address of each cam. You can also turn people's cellphones into IP camera's and use them live, Just need a private network with really good bandwidth

Re: Easy deck rearrange - move

Makes sense. I have color pallet decks, as I typically am the house VJ for festival settings. So I follow the LD in complimentary colors. All the clips in my decks are different without duplicates. If the LD goes from a green to blue without warning, I have only a few seconds to make a smooth transi...

Re: Great animation/video software-tool for creation

AE is great! look into red giant's trapcode suite as well.

Cinema 4D with Octane Render and Particle Storm FX is also really neat to play with.

And thanks Oaktown for the syphon tip with AE, Didn't know that was a thing. I'll need to play with that sometime :)
