Re: Better options for Main and Group Column control

Ahh that makes sense!

Indeed pretty good points. I wish there was an actual Timeline feature where you can link action and clips based on a main timeline(s). I haven't used AI but saw a youtube clip explaining theirs and it really makes sense for bigger scripted shows

Re: Better options for Main and Group Column control

Great ideas but I think the main question is why do you need a timeline for the columns: - So basically my question is, what is essential in the way you VJ that you really need to use column triggers? - How do you setup your clips and why is the column trigger so essential? Not bashing your ideas bu...

Re: Freeze composition

If I understand correctly it's the same as taking a screenshot of the last frame and locking all the slices in the AO to display that but anything that happens in the main UI keeps playing, so even the comp/preview keeps updating. Re: Freeze composition

It's quite a good idea actually. Although I think most will scratch their heads how to best implement this. The cheap method is throwing a Freeze effect on the composition but that beats the purpose of working blind. An interesting scenario is if there is a possibility to add video effects further d...

Re: How to? strobe + mapping

Hey guys, it is indeed some 'wizardry' which requires some programming. Basically I do it by sending OSC values to Arena to have things fade out thus creating that overlapping animation. As Joris mentioned you should start making an input mapping and from there you can do anything. The quickest appr...

Re: Firepro W9100

We had experience with the W9100

Long story short, bumped into a lot of problems which Resolume fixed by now so big props for having Arena run smooth with this card. But in the end Resolume performs better with Nvidia cards. I recommend installing 2x 1080 or Titans if you have the budget
