Re: Rework Lumiverses /Fixture Handling/ Advanced Ouput Improvements

I think the 'norm' is to skip 511 & 512 which allows to span RGB over more than one universe (typically 2 or 3 but could be more).

Skipping 511 & 512 works with RGBAW or RGBWW as well and RGBA is a none issue since 512 is divisible by 4.

Re: will a RTX2080ti do the job?

The RTX 2080ti will more than do the job!

Based on your description of the project, it sounds like you could probably use a 2060 or 2070 Super and be fine.

Re: Output issue with Blackmagic ultrastudio 4K Extreme

On my MBP16 running 10.15.4, the two files look identical in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Madmapper and Mitti but they look different in OSX QuickView/Finder, Arena and Millumin.

Re: Output issue with Blackmagic ultrastudio 4K Extreme

Try doing a screenshot of your ProRes movie in Arena using [Snapshot] in the [Output] menu.

It will create a PNG file which should match the colors of your ProRes file. I'm attaching the file that I used in this comparison:

Re: Output issue with Blackmagic ultrastudio 4K Extreme

Color difference of the output image compared to other playback software. Arena seems to give the jpg a little bit more saturation and contrast. It makes no difference using the deckling output or the HDMI output of the MacMini itself. Both ProRes and Jpeg are lossy formats but they use different s...

Re: Apple MacBook Pro 16" - HDMI outputs

Couple side notes: 1) I personally use Datapath FX4 in my work flow a lot so I can easily get (8) 1920x1200/60 outputs with two TB3 ports and could extend to (16) 1920x1200/30 if necessary. 2)I'm also using NDI distribution more and more. I have one permanent installation with Resolume Arena with 2 ...

Re: Apple MacBook Pro 16" - HDMI outputs

I own one of these and would not recommend using it in a production environment! My first one failed after a few weeks of use and was replaced, the second one which I use in my studio worked great for a few months but is now giving me some issues.

Re: Apple MacBook Pro 16" - HDMI outputs

I've got several MBP (16in & 15in) and i'm a big fan of USB-C to HDMI cables such as this one on Amazon.

Re: Problem with clip Transitions

Setting transition modes per clip is not an option but you can set Shortcuts (keyboard, MIDI, DMX or OSC) to easily change transitions between clips. Let's say you want to use keyboard shortcuts, use three different transition modes on the selected layer, then you would assign three shortcuts on the...
