Re: Layer Routing workflow

Here is the workflow just in case anyone else needs it: Let's say you only have 1 video clip, here is what you would do from bottom to top: - Layer 1: 1st video clip - Layer 2: Black slide at 100% Add- I use the [Solid Color with 0% brightness] - Layer 3: Layer router of layer 1 If you want to apply...

Re: Layer Routing workflow

I use Resolume Arena 4 as a software switch all the time and it works great. It makes it easy to manage graphics and lower thirds! The router works great with other sources as well but if you route single layers, you don't really need to use the router since sources from capture cards are constant a...

Re: looking for tutorial on tracing text

Follow Saddler's tutorial then create one layer for each letter and size these layers to the size of the letter. Each of these layers would have a white clip followed by any effect you want to apply in Resolume. Here is what you'd do for instance, if you had a five letter work like ARENA: Layer 6 at...

Re: Layer Routing workflow

Layer router is one of my favorite features and I use it all the time to "keyframe" live clips during live shows. I've had up to 28 layers with no noticeable fps drop and it would look something like this: - 1-13: 13 clips layers - 14: 1 blackout layer - black clip at 100% Add to mask layers 1-13 - ...

Re: Camera Source Crashes

I've successfully used three sources (BMD capture cards HD-SDI & HDMI) on some high profile events with no issues whatsoever so I have a feeling your problem lays elsewhere. As Ravensc mentioned, png/jpeg backgrounds could be the reason especially if you are triggering columns in rapid succession. H...

Re: multiple outputs question

There are many posts on this forum about Resolume and multi GPU but long story short, it's not recommended! To get 5 outputs, I'd use the Zotac DisplayPort to Dual HDCP HDMI Adapter (http://www.zotacusa.com/zotac-displayport-to-dual-hdmi-adaptor.html) to split the DP into two 1920x1080 ouputs. Keep ...

Re: App for iPhone & Androit, Controlling Resolume - Mapping

#1 & #2, I use Luminair (http://synthe-fx.com/products/luminair) with DMX over Artnet on an iPad and to cue shows. To trigger columns during the show, I program the column trigger in my scenes and use the spacebar or right arrow key of a BT keyboard as a go button. #3, I run into this on most every ...
