How to use a video as a key for two other videos?

How do you do this in Resolume? Let's say I have a black and white video, of a man walking, for example. I want to replace the white parts of the video with a second video, and the black parts with a third video. In effect I'm using the first black and white video as the key for mixing the other two...

keyboard shortcut for selecting active effect slot

In the same way that F1, F2, F3 select the active layer, it would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut for selecting the active effect slot. Sometimes I use a MIDI controller with a small set of controls, which can really only work with one set of effect parameters at a time. It would be nice to have...

Beat matching

It would be cool if Resolume would maintain a beat clock (BPM), then you could have the animation of various effect parameters specfied in terms of beats - ie complete rotation in 4 beats, play clip in two beats, etc.

Yep, those two things together do the trick, thanks! It would be nice if you could *copy* the effect into the shortlist, not jut move it. Also, how do you drag and drop an effect if it is at the bottom of a long list? Say I have 100 Freeframe effects, and I want to move one of them to another catego...

Preset loading

It would be nice to able to save the state of Resolume, and assign it to a shortcut key. This would mean being able to restore all the active layers and effects, in one go. The reason for this is that sometimes in a set there are rapid transitions when clips and effects all need to change in sync......

Effect shortlist

I have a lot of freeframe effects - and rarely use all during a set. It would be nice to be able to setup a "hotlist" of 8-10 effects that will appear at the top of the effect list, for ready access. Maybe with shortcut keys assigned - eg ctrl-0 through ctrl-9.

Expected Resolume performance on laptop?

Hi there, just wanted a quick reality check. I'm using a laptop with a 1.7Ghz Pentium M processor, and ATI 9600 graphics card. With Resolume, I'm finding that I can have 3 layers and effects at 320x240, averaging around 45FPS. Pretty good. However, I would really like to be using 640x480. I find tha...

To extract content from a DVD, do this: 1) Use DVD Decrypter (google for it) to copy all the DVD files to your HD 2) Use VirtualDubMod (it's on sf.net) to open the .VOB files resulting, find the bits you want. You can use Home and End keys to set start and end of a selection. You will need to apply ...

Access to extended Freeframe parameters?

Is there any way to access more than 4 effect parameters in a Freeframe plugin?

I am using a couple of plugins with more than 4 parameters, some of them quite useful!

How to monitor rendered FPS?

Is there any way in Resolume to see how many FPS are being rendered?

I am currently doing a bit of performance tuning, and would like to know.
