I am glad you found the magic recipe. Others of us have not been so fortunate.

Re: resolume arena 4 and 5, video stuttering, gtx 970,i7

So are people actually achieving 100% smooth video playback? Like actual 1080p videos with people speaking and such, not just flashy motion graphics? I was under the impression from numerous threads that 100% smooth playback wasn't possible because of a known issue with the playback engine. I've lit...

Re: resolume arena 4 and 5, video stuttering, gtx 970,i7

It's not a blanket statement, like I said, it is a known issue. The developers have admitted it. I will post a link when I get a little more time. I have a high end system that was created ground up for resolume. It runs videos just fine in other players like vlc, but on resolume a small amount of s...

Re: resolume arena 4 and 5, video stuttering, gtx 970,i7

I have the same problems with gtx 980's. Apparently resolume can't play videos smoothly. It's been documented in much older posts.

Re: Audio Interfaces in Resolume

From what I gather, it is the dedicated audio processing in the interface that cuts down on the latency and buffer requirement. I ordered a different, but similar interface to the one you have. Once I get it and have some time to test it I will post the results.

Re: So...2016 Arena 5....smooth video playback????

Thanks again for the helpful replies guys. I did want to add, that during one show where the client was dissatisfied with the smoothness of the playback, we actually loaded all of the same files (some 29.97, some 59.97, and some 60fps) into Playback pro running on a basic macbook pro, then took that...

Re: So...2016 Arena 5....smooth video playback????

For some reason I have found that connecting and setting an external audio interface makes the output visibly smoother when compared to using the motherboards audio interface. It does not affect the reported frame rate in Resolume though. You could try that if you have tried everything else cosmowe...

Re: So...2016 Arena 5....smooth video playback????

Thanks for the quick reply guys. To answer your questions: "Your Clips are in 30fps ...and your LED-Wall / Projector / Display / Scaler ect. is set to 60 Hz [25fps/50Hz][60fps/60Hz][50fps/50Hz]?" Unfortunately the client brings me a lot of content set at 29.97, and others set at 60fps. I u...

So...2016 Arena 5....smooth video playback????

I have been digging through the forums all day again. I have been experiencing the dreaded un-smooth video playback. At first I thought maybe it was the sli connection on my video cards, but as it turns out, this is a known problem discussed in the forums back in 2013 in Arena 4. Well here we are in...

Did this get resolved? I am having a problem with small stutters in video playback as well. I was hoping you found a fix.
