What is your hard drive situation, and are all of your clips on the local hard drive? what codec are you using?
How much ram does your system have and what OS?
I believe all ndi builds are backwards compatible, so sending a ndi 4 stream (from Resolume) should be detected by ndi 5 devices on the same network. Now sending ndi 5 to Resolume, that I wouldn't know if it would work or not.
250Mbps per NDI stream (1080p@60). Who knows what the MV software uses in terms of bandwidth (especially if it's decoding ALL of the streams at once). As Zoltan said, this is a CPU process, so maybe check your hardware stats before and during usage?
This is far from what you requested, but if you can add your laptops camera into the bottom layer (replace the camera i put in there), this can show you a little bit of what you can expect if you can write a GLSL/ISF file to fit your needs (I'm using Snowy as an example. Notice how the snow sticks t...
Correct. After Effects. You would have to bake this into your files, you wouldn't be able to use AE for generative stuff as there isn't really a physics system in place (that I know of) for all of this. So it would be something prebuilt you would just use as playback.
For something this complex, it would need to be done using GLSL/ISF or with software like AE using masks and FX. This is pretty advanced to be doing live. There is software out there that can do it, but you have to build it out yourself, there isn't going to be a quick drag and drop solution for som...
Ohh, that poor horse... Haha. Hey, I really no longer blame Resolume, the company, for the state of its products. If I was a talented developer, I would leave the Netherlands for the USA, where starting salaries are 3x that offered there. Why earn $40-50k there when you can earn $120-500k in the US...
