Re: New M1 mac

this laptop is 50% faster than any laptop from Intel / Nvidia That's only on apps that are built and optimized for that architecture and even then IDK about 50% faster. For the rest of the world that pushes out applications built for everyone else, Apple is by far slower. For Resolume and the live ...

Re: New M1 mac

Yeah, those 16 hour days on the Mexico/US boarder (110+ Degrees F) in direct sunlight really shows what hardware is pro grade and what is a toy. We keep bag of ice at FOH for the Apple boys that come through to get that 8-12fps back up to 25-28 ;) I'm curious how Apple has improved their cooling, th...

Re: Edid management

I say use a Lightware matrix with edid management. Or maybe some HD Fury stuff. I've had really good luck with these guys those if you want to try the cheaper route first: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1351398-REG/apantac_edid_ew_h_all_in_one_edid.html But Lightware always get's my first op...

Re: New Macbook

Why a mac? Just asking because you get more value for your investment when you go the PC route. :)

Well since this is a "Resolume" forum, I'm only curious how the performance is IN Resolume. :)

Re: DXV Preview's on Finder Mac " When... "

Less than a decade ago (2016) Apple pulled Prores support for any non Apple branded hardware, so if you used a PC and Adobe, sorry, no Prores support. This was a MAJOR headline that had animators all over the world pissed off. So at that point, I stopped using it. Many people still use it, just not ...

Re: Making some clips persistant when scrolling horizontally

Collapsible layers/groups is on the list. TBH I don't see the other thing happening, but like in Excel, where you can lock a column and scroll around it, is super nifty, so I'll +1 that. In the meantime maybe keymap a button to a value, and keep your "important" clips together in the same ...

Re: DXV Preview's on Finder Mac " When... "

The new M1 Max can play 30 4K ProRes files back at the same time. I humbly suggest you may not need DXV. Resolume is built around the DXV codec and is optimized for that codec. ProRes can F right off. When Apple pulled support from any non Apple branded machine years back is when that codec died to...

Re: Edid management

Are you outputting via SDI or directly out of your GPU?
