Re: Resolume Avenue & Arena 6 Beta Available Now!

Wow can finally use 2 monitors effectively. :O
This is amazing if I can figure out a way to carry 2 screens with me!
Attached screenshot.

Oh also the fact you can map the palette layout on some effects is gold.

Re: Hardware Advice

Origin just sticks it into a $400 35lbs startech case and charges you whatever they want heh. Market value is meaningless. Went to their configuration chose their 4u startech case. Chose x299. Next window chose i9-7900 got $2,662 Went back did it again for x399. Next window chose threadripper 1920x ...

Color Picker

I've been thinking about this for a while and maybe resolume 6 will open doorways for other solutions for this with the ability to set velocity feed back in the software for the MKII 40. So we can see the LED color of our MKII keys. (even though mine are taken up with other effects and RIP bank sele...

Re: Two MIDI controllers

If you have a programmable controller like mpd232 you can use un-used midi notes that your other controller doesn't use. Kinda lets you take 2 and make one big one. Another idea that I haven't gotten around to trying so it's "experimental", is run a X-keys product like the XK-80. It doesn'...

Re: How impressive is 115-140 fps?

At 100+ fps nothing more matters. Not even strobeing will improve. Like these guys said your playback content wont even be that fps. All that's important is to make sure it stays over 60 at whatever resolution your trying to do. It's not about e-sports and CS:go. If you column bomb 6-7+ HD clips run...

Re: Your Ideal Media Server?

I think the issue is the i3 not the Z270. If you upgrade your system to an i7 with enough RAM you should be fine. While yeah a i7 7700k would render better then a i3. A i7 to me is very mild for any kind of rendering outside of Resolume use cases. The other small situational issue is the i3 does be...

Re: Your Ideal Media Server?

I built a x99 server pretty recently to stick 3x black magic quad2's in it with a 1080ti - seems that resolume is more CPU dependent and wants higher IPC / fewer, faster cores.. IE doesn't take advantage of these new high-core count cpus.. which means we can hold onto our z97/z170 systems for quite...

Your Ideal Media Server?

Now that AMD has kinda rocked to boat on the work station grade platforms and they have been out for a little while. What would be your ideal media server for performance and expand-ability. There is old x99, now x299, and x399 from amd with more pci-e lanes then you can find uses for. I've been qui...

Re: which vram card to choose for a pc 2gb, 3gb ,6gb, 8gb ,12gb?

Edit: If you wana move this pc around it is probably advised to not get tempered glass cases. >< My new favorite case to move servers from job to job is the Corsair Vengeance Series Military Green C70 Mid Tower Computer Case in black. Ha yeah I remember seeing those things. They look so gamer to me...
