Re: Resulume arena with BlackMagic Decklink 4k Extreme 12G

Just checking in to ask whether these cards keep all SDI outputs in sync? I've read here before that Blackmagic SDI outs do not always keep sync, curious if that is specific to when BMD cards are secondary cards (for additional outputs), not the render card. Would running a Blackmagic card as the pr...

Re: HDMI splitter

Logging in to say that I am in the market for a commercial-grade, zero-latency, frame-synced HDMI splitter (distribution amplifer). 1x2 or 1x4, only need 1080p. Hoping there's something in the $150-300 range like this. Sorry to "hijack" the thread, but it's prob not worth a new one. This w...

Re: Datapath X4 - In need of convincing

Chiming in to say that after years of low-budget projects, with TripleHeads often swapping displays and losing settings, after I began using the Datapath FX4 I never want to look back. Simplicity of use, flexibility of custom resolution settings, and (as mentioned) video wall design options are grea...

Re: Multiple live inputs, which possibilities?

BUMP Many years later...has anyone successfully captured two feeds at the same time using two Intensity Thunderbolt Shuttles? On a Mid-2015 Retina Macbook Pro, in which it seems each Thunderbolt port has its own bus per this article: https://www.anandtech.com/show/6023/the-nextgen-macbook-pro-with-...

Re: Play SWF files in Arena 6.

It sounds like you have built an impressive library of Flash content, which I'm sure you depend upon, so you may need to invest in your own solution. My recommendation would be to run all Flash content via Arena 5 on a separate machine, which is dedicated to this sole task. There are many affordable...

Re: Ultimate PC Server Build- SDI Inputs- 4k Frame Sync

Generally speaking: - GTX1080 over Quadro P5000. Arena performs much better with GTX cards/GeForce drivers than Quadro. Quadro drivers limit Arena’s GPU usage, usually around 3.33%. - Why 2x cards? With one GTX1080 you can output 3x 4K displays + 1x GUI Monitor (probably best at 1920x1080 or 1920x12...

Re: Snow Effect - What is View X/View Y?

That’s awesome! Is this similar to Cube Tiles or Stingy Sphere (with size at max, and zoom af max)?

Would love to see more effects wih 3D options like this. Maybe I’ll look further into this FFGL business...

Snow Effect - What is View X/View Y?

SSIA - What's going on here? When I automate the View X and View Y parameters of the Snow effect, it looks beautiful. I'm interested in how this is happening. Developers, care to explain? Is the Snow effect rendering a 3D world of sorts, wherein the View X/View Y parameters rotate a camera's viewport?

Stingy Sphere drives comp to 1.45fps

I was working on a comp last week for an LED sculpture made of 16 bars (120px each) fanning out into a semi-circle, controlled by a PixLite16 MkII. Comp was generative content (Lines, Rings, PolarKaleido, Shaper, etc.) at 300x300 pixels. Advanced Output had one screen output to Syphon, going into Ma...
