Re: Preview window too small

For R5 can we please have access to the preview window + GUI in the advanced output settings? This would be great for allowing custom monitoring setups. Modern computers have enough outputs to allow you to use a couple for monitoring / interface and it would be really good to be able to have more fl...

Re: New Laptop (check it pls)

you won't really notice any difference between the 2 GPUs.

resolume runs fine on 64bit windows, don't bother installing a 32bit OS in this day and age.

Re: New Laptop (check it pls)

looks pretty good to me.

I would try and get a bigger SSD though, 256 would be much better, get the Samsung 840 Pro if you can, its a better technology than the evo. Windows 7 is annoyingly big, and lots of applications now run to tens of gigabytes of install space.

Re: Rental License

I agree - it would be very handy to be able to rent licences, often small tours want to use resolume for a couple of weeks on their own machines, they are renting other gear like projectors, but have to stump up 700 euros for a licence. Or you have a big show and need extra machines for just one gig...

Re: How do I control external devices?

Resolume has no support for external device control natively. However there are ways you can work around this, for example you can create your own FreeframeGL plugin which passed the video through without effects and has parameters which control external devices via whatever interfaces you like. Thi...

Re: fold/unfold effects via OSC

The irony of that statement is kind of amusing... Sure its really easy to add a single button which represents a single clip in the resolume interface using touchOSC or whatever. However lets say you have 5 layers each holding 20 clips. You want to arrange the show so the media is always placed in t...

Re: fold/unfold effects via OSC

... you have no way of even knowing if the clip is in timeline or BMP mode. At least for the active clip: /activeclip/video/tempo/timelinemode So you've not tried to do this yet then? /activeclip/video/tempo/timelinemode doesn't output when you select a new clip, actually it never outputs AFAIK its...

Re: fold/unfold effects via OSC

I'd really love it if it were possible to make an OSC interface which didn't require you to look at the resolume monitor at all. This should be an fundamental aim for r5. At the moment its impossible because of the half finished nature of the OSC implementation. (eg clips do not output lots of statu...
