Allow per-clip fades

AFAIK, transitions between clips is set at layer level...
It would be nice to be able to have individual transitions at clip level...or did I overlook something ?

Play Specific Clip...on another layer ?

I'd like to chain playback of clip#1 on layer 1 to clip# on layer 2
Is that possible ?
I couldn't find "clip#2" in the possible "Play Specific Clip" list of clip#1....

True, at that time CRT phosphor latency allowed easy deinterlacing ;-) so at that time it was a smart design decision (I'm from that generation :D )

Re: interlaced video: unpredictable quality

I should do that..but I'm in a super hurry to finalize a setup for a show coming WE. I will resume t'shooting and provide samples sometime after that - thx for your fast response time !!! It is also quite possible that the root cause of my problems is that when using Resolume for this show (i.e. wit...

Re: interlaced video: unpredictable quality

The new file you sent is also 25p. DXV doesn't support interlaced. Really. Indeed, the DXV doesn't say it is interlaced, arguably because it just ignores that (has no support for it). Comb edges are nice? The fields were merged when encoding, it's not Resolume who's merging the fields. Indeed, that...

Re: interlaced video: unpredictable quality

Thanks for the suggestions Actually the file I sent you was indeed progressive - sorry (resending a new one right now) I agree with your explanations; when 50i playback is 'smooth' (see discussion below), pausing playback freezes on a frame containing the two merged fields, with nice comb edges... M...

Smoke/haze/cloud effect

one more beginner question, bear with me ;-)
Is there a simple way to add a "smoke / haze" affect to a scene - I found no built-in effect to do that
My current workaround is to create a video with such an effect and layer it on top of my scene...

Re: interlaced video: unpredictable quality

Unfortunately our show uses a complex mix of hardware, including an "old" HD videomixer which is HD TV compliant, i.e. 1080i or 720p. So for fluidity (50i) and other reasons we decided to set our show using the common denominator 1080i (the PC running Avenue is not the last device in the c...

Re: interlaced video: unpredictable quality

for a number of practical reasons I create my DXV files using TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works -> Quicktime -> framerate 25 (interlaced) -> DXV3

Shall I send a link to such a file to your email ?

newbie Q: which audio driver to use

If I'm looking at putting the least burden on the system, with fast loading and quick start of short audio clips, what should I prefer:
Windows Audio drivers
DirectSound drivers
ASIO drivers ?

Thanks
