Re: NDI HX

If NDI is a fundamentally unreliable technology, then why did Vizrt pay $90m for it? Is Resolume worth $90m? And, really, unreliable compared to what? They paid for the whole package, NDI and Newtek, not just the technology As far as HX, does encoder qualify factor into your opinion formation proce...

Re: Rework Lumiverses /Fixture Handling/ Advanced Ouput Improvements

I've done 35 universes with strips and Resolume before, but nothing ever spanned universes. It was installed so everything stopped at 170 pixels to fit inside the universe. Took 2 hours to map. Find first and last pixel of fixture and flip it around in the map. This was only for several square grids...

RTMP support

It would be nice to have RTMP push support instead of having to NDI to another machine just to send a stream out.

Re: Resolume 7 and CPU/GPU preference issues?

@mwebb9413 I did not call you unfair. What i ment was that it's not the right direction to say you need more pci-e lanes or a different cpu. Actually i think your test is very good! You have made pretty similar setups in Resolume and Millumin, and shown that resolume drops below 30 fps while Millum...

Re: Resolume 7 and CPU/GPU preference issues?

In your original post you mention an i5-6500, which has an integrated intel 520 gpu. What motherboard are you using? There is a possibility things are defaulting to run on intel 520 if you’re running a motherboard that supports on board video If you were running an nvidia gpu you would have to tell ...

Re: Resolume 7 and CPU/GPU preference issues?

I’m not on Mac so a lot of this just guessing based on lots of hardware experience. Have you tried a BMD device that’s built for thunderbolt (ultra studio mini 4k or similar) and not using a 3rd party device to adapt something meant for PCIE to thunderbolt? The extra step in conversion could be caus...

Re: Resolume 7 and CPU/GPU preference issues?

With your shootout test? Are both tests on the same Mac machine or are you testing your Windows against a Mac with similar specs? You would be comparing apples and oranges if so, the underlying architecture and how the operating systems handle things are much different. When building a machine you n...

Re: Nvidia driver crash

I am having same issue (already have an email going) What version of Windows are you on? I tried a few different driver versions from the past few months and they all crash. Crashes happened when opening advanced output or minimizing the program window. Reverting back to the version Windows provides...

Re: Problems with NDI

Recreated, seems to be the way resolume captures the alpha ? Switching alpha type on receiver end has no effect in 7.1, using blend mode add set to 50% or "50 add" set to full take away the artifacts with this setup. PC 1 : 2 layers, layer 1 text animator with random y position really fast...
