Re: Timeline

BIG +1 for Vezer. It’s very affordable, robust, and feature-packed. An amazing deal IMO, and Imimot has great customer support. Vezer has the timeline interface you desire, supports SMPTE timecode, outputs to 2 separate MIDI servers, can send OSC messages, and also send ArtNet data. Program all of y...

Re: LUT Uploader FFGL plugin

Very informative answers! I was mostly concerned about the possibility of it, as it would make compiling looks quickly and easily, especially if you work in video and have a selection of go-to LUTs that you really love. True, I could probably do most of what I need using Curves, Levels, Hue/Saturate...

ID on specific laser type?

I’ve attached a picture of a fixture with an array of lasers that shoot straight out. Anything I find is the type with the diffractive lens, which spreads a single laser out into a cone.

Any leads would be much appreciated, thanks!

Re: Design Challenge! Server w/ Many Analog SD Outputs

I think the most affordable solution would be to dedicate a Raspberry Pi for each CRT monitor, paired with a Mini HDMI2AV adapter (Mini is the brand name, on AliExpress for $5.61 each), a 3-inch HDMI cable and RCA composite cable of the right length. All Pi's would be connected with Static IP's to a...

LUT Uploader FFGL plugin

Hi Developers, I have an idea but no clue if it is possible. Can a LUT uploader (similar to "Lumetri Color" in After Effects) be wrapped inside an FFGL plugin? My vision is a plugin that has a browser bar where you can navigate to your LUT files, upload one, and then edit the LUT with colo...

Design Challenge! Server w/ Many Analog SD Outputs

Emphasis on Analog . I have access to many many Sony Trinitron CRT monitors, which have BNC input and output, so daisy chaining is possible. I'm working on an art exhibition (read: tight budget) that calls for a large CRT video wall. They want multiple channels of video, not just the same content ac...

Re: 12 outs: Blackmagic Decklink Quad 2 + GTX 1080 TI

The outputs across the Decklink will not be synced. I have not used one myself, so I cannot speak to tearing. If you are blending multiple projectors, you may notice the offset, but if these are 12 discrete outputs (or have different content across those outputs) you should be OK with the BMD card f...

Re: Blend Modes in Advanced Output

Personally, I would look at the new Slice Transform effect, and position your content as many times as you have slices, all in a single layer. You also have up to 3 blend modes per layer. Not sure why you think there's a limit. You can assign as many blend modes per layer as you please. I suppose I...

Re: Blend Modes in Advanced Output

Could you explain this in more detail, with a visual example of the effect you're looking for? It seems like an interesting idea in theory, but one that probably has workarounds. v6 allows you to select specific blend modes for individual clips. In theory you could duplicate a clip, switch the blend...
