Base Tempo for BPM Sync'd Visuals

Something I am trying to wrap my head around: I'm creating some beat sync'd visuals for a non-120bpm track, let's say 85bpm. While compositing in AE, I have the visuals perfectly match an 85bpm track (snare, kick, etc). I crop the playheads so that it loops perfectly and stays in sync and render thi...

Re-Occuring freezing problem in R5 and R6

Hey all, This may or may not be an issue with my particular hardware setup, so this is partly inquiring to see if other have had the same issue. This is a problem that is present in both R5 and now R6. The scenario: I have a show up and running and everything is going smooth. Sometimes, I may step a...

Re: Blend Modes in Advanced Output

A more specific example of what I mean would be: I have two layers in Resolume. One is set to 'difference' and opacity is turned down to 50%. On the main screen in my composition preview I see that it's showing the negative colour when overlapping with the layer beneath it - great. When I take those...

Blend Modes in Advanced Output

Imagine if each slice in the Advanced output had a blend mode that could be assigned, effecting the way in interacts with the slices beneath it that you could selectively place as part of your mapping. This would be a blend mode workflow akin to After Effects. Currently I find that the blend modes o...

Re: Tutorial to do wall desconstruction vj footage

As Oaktown mentioned, getting basic understanding of AE would be a good first step. This video shows how you could take content like what you've linked to in your original post for deconstruction effects. It helped me wrap my head around it when I first started. This effect is more convincing when d...

Re: NDI Application Capture Issue

Newtek Scan Converter to select the program window as a source. Select source 'particle illusion' in Resolume and load onto layer.

When I check the feed of these applications (particle illusion and any processing sketch) in Newtek Studio Monitor the issue is the same.

NDI Application Capture Issue

Hey all, Digging into R6 and plan on upgrading soon. One feature of the new NDI integration that excited me was the application / browser window capture. I missed the simplicity of syphoner for that kind of thing after switching to PC and needing to use more complicated workarounds. I want to captur...

Re: Particle Illusion to Resolume

Particle Illusion isn't a Spout supported application, as mentioned I've tried a few workarounds with Spout in Processing and Touch Designer. I need a way to output Particle Illusion to Spout even when the application is minimized (in the way that Syphoner does). *EDIT* Sorry, I wrote "I know t...

Particle Illusion to Resolume

Hey, I'm looking to capture the emitter in Particle Illusion (that I'm manipulating live) and feed it to Resolume. This was simple when I was on a Mac, just screengrab the application in Syphoner and drop it into a Resolume layer. I know that I will have to use Spout for this. Unfortunately windows ...
