Re: QC FX workaround

Ok, I was able to get this working following the instructions in the video. Thanks OP However when I downloaded Syphon for FreeFrame, Public Beta 2, The readme file says "WARNING: Resolume Avenue loads these plugins in a way which causes Resolume to crash if you have more than one server or cli...

Re: Videomapping Naked Chicks

free trial:http://www.visikord.com/product cool video but that's kinda overpriced for what it does. I have a couple Kinects kicking about. I'll create a small video next week showing how to do the effect with a kinect, quartz composer and Res 4. The frame rate isn't as beautiful as using a real cam...

Re: 420 content?

Just Google "marijuana vector" or "marijuana png" and use a vector image of a marijuana leaf as a mask. You could even throw on the Big Wave effect on the mask to make it look trippy. This is a cool clip to use with png masks in Resolume: http://vimeo.com/channels/beeple/9382269 ...

Re: First VJ Gig...! Complete nightmare

it was probably the midi clock. the only times i've had resolume crash is on a macbook pro that was receiving midi information over ethernet while I was simultaneously editing a composition. also when I tried to use airbeam as a syphon input, after the ipod touch or iphone lost connection with the m...

Re: Thunderbolt Hard-Drive for loops?

it's a 5400 rpm hard drive, notice at the bottom how it says "**Speeds shown represent maximum interface connection speeds. Actual device transfer speeds will vary based on hard drive specifications and host devices." so it's actually going to be very slow. Just purchase an internal SSD fo...

Videomapping Naked Chicks

I've tried search a bit on the forums and found nothing about this. Now i'd like to videomap some naked chicks with bodypaint. All the videos i've seen online doing this use IR Mapio I believe. What would the process to do this in Arena? Paint down the chick in white paint, take a photograph of her ...

Should work, just make sure you have some SSDs in it.

Re: Smooth playback - new topic

I just realized I encoded a bunch of clips in 29.97 FPS, i'm outputting at 60hz into a projector running at 60hz. Is there going to be a big difference if re-encoded them to 30 FPS? @pupdogg: Maybe you should just make generative visuals in Resolume and get a capture card to run a camera into it, (U...

Re: Matrox Dualhead2go

That's what Resolume Arena’s "Advanced Output", or the plugins Visution and MadMapper are for. Nope, not true. There's no reason to spend 400 extra euros on Arena to output to multiple projectors using the DualHead2Go, Bart has explained this in another thread. Use the method below to use...
