Re: FFGL plugins vote

Great plugin Anton!!! And yes it'd be great to have one thread for each of the plugins you create! That way it will make it easy to track them down later on. A couple features that would be great to have: - the ability to flip the clone on X or Y - being able to do incremental scaling + or - on top ...

Re: Live Twitter Count

Here is a couple suggestions: Mac: have you considered using Syphoner to input the Twitter window from your browser? You can crop the image down to the exact content you need - cost $30 Mac/PC: a USB3 or PCIe capture card and a feed from another computer via HDMI - cost $200 on up depending on the c...

Re: 2013 Mac Pro Performance

As for active/passive adapters, I don't know. I have researched this a bit and I don't actually know how you tell if an adapter is active or passive. Its very confusing and poorly documented. I suspect that this is a likely culprit. Is there a thread somewhere here (or anywhere online) that gives a...

Re: New Mac, Mavericks, Quicktime Player can't open DXV file

I know that QT will not preview DXV files when you hit the space bar but do you use the new version of QT X or QT 7 Pro to read files? If you are using QT X, I highly recommend you buy a 7 Pro license (https://www.apple.com/quicktime/extending).

Make sure your layer transition time is set to 0 on your mask layer and that you use an alpha mode.

Re: How to adjust deck view size?

Keep in mind that if you want to see even more layers and you have an external monitor, you can rotate your monitor 90˚ which will buy you a lot more vertical real estate but will compress your width so you'll have to choose 1 panel in [panel property layout].

Re: Sending video from one computer to other with resolume

If you have the means and want to be able to send larger comps I would get the BMD UltraStudio 4K for laptop or desktop (thunderbolt) or BMD DeckLink Studio 4K for desktop only (Pcie). If you don't need to capture HD-SDI, the BMD Intensity Extreme (thunderbolt) or BMD Intensity Pro (Pcie) are great ...

Re: whats your back up system?

Depending on how many outputs you're using, output resolution and what type of interface, it could get complicated but I use the Blackmagic Design converters a lot to carry signal over long distance and the HD-SDI to HDMI (or Component) converters have two inputs (SDI and Alt SDI) and switch automat...

Re: Layer Routing workflow

Sadler, If one sets the Clip or Layer Opacity of the Layer 1 clip to zero, the LR still renders it at full opacity so there is no need for the black slide. The idea behind the black slide/layer is to isolate the source layers from the layer router layers. That way all the sources are playing beneath...
