Re: AJA U-TAP capture card

What hardware are you capturing with? You capturing SDI or HDMI? I've seen people use the Magewell capture card without issue. When I saw the two dudes that do visuals for Pretty Lights, they were capturing Resolume running on one laptop into another laptop running Touchdesigner using a Magewell XI1...

Re: Can anybody make a Slit-scanning & a Rutt Etra FFGL plug

Sorry, buddy. Memo's patch doesn't do anything on the two Mac's that I tried it on. I do see some horizontal movement in your video, but it's far too cluttered to make out what your version of the slitscan is and what are other pixel effects splashed on top. Did you try them in VDMX? You can see ex...

Re: Resolume & native SDI output

The real problem is the latency of sdi output. Way too high to be used for IMAG Are there any tips for getting performance dialed in on SDI output? I've done some testing on my new machine and the SDI performance doesn't seem to quite match the performance directly off the GPU. I'm using an nVidia ...

Any low res LED mapping content tips?

I'm gonna be outputting to a low res screen consisting of twenty four 144 led 1 meter APA102 led strips. So I guess that's just a resolution of 24 x 144. Anybody have any tips for creating content at that low of a Resolution or is it mainly just real minimal? Obviously I want to go for contrast and ...

Re: Investments for beginners

It depends on what you're going to be doing with the software. Are you just playing back a few layers of video clips that you rendered on your campuses computers or are you looking to use lots of layers and effects? You'll need a more power graphics card for the latter. What resolution are you going...

Re: live webcam 1080p

I've used it on Mac before, I know I got up to at least 720p resolution but it will have latency. If you want less latency, use a capture card like the Matrox MXO2 or Blackmagic Intensity or Decklink in conjunction with a camera feeding into the capture card.

Re: Can anybody make a Slit-scanning & a Rutt Etra FFGL plug

When I was referencing slit-scanning I was talking about a different style of slit-scanning found in this Quartz Composer plugin: http://www.memo.tv/archive/timestretching_in_quartz_composer You can see an example of what plugin looks like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtM6b7AyKLc I...

Re: Can anybody make a Slit-scanning & a Rutt Etra FFGL plug

A slit scan FFGL would be cool but it would require the plugin to look back in time a long way meaning it would have to load a large proportion of frames into memory. So this quartz composer composition here just runs off of the cpu? http://www.memo.tv/archive/timestretching_in_quartz_composer Ther...

Can anybody make a Slit-scanning & a Rutt Etra FFGL plugin?

It's almost 2016 and we still don't have these plugins? If somebody could develop these two FFGL plugins than I could finally get off the Mac platform and not have to deal with any hassle using Hackintosh setups. Anybody down for the challenge?

Re: Blackmagic Decklink Quad issue

The biggest problem of resolume. Switch random inputs card. I have this exactly same problem, I always thought it might have to be a Hackintosh quirk since I was running run but it appears that other people have this issue. Every time the computer restarts it switches the inputs, BTW i'm using a Bl...
