As far as I know, an app that can create .mov files doesn't actually require the Quicktime application to be installed. They just write to the format. So for instance Media Encoder and Mpeg Streamclip should still work. Scratch that, turns out I don't know that far. This is going to be interesting....

Hey I'm having trouble syncing up vj edits of music videos. I'm using cue points to sync (i know i should use SMPTE). You can see that Resolume playback is much faster. I've seen this happen before and if i make a new composition it usually troubleshoots the problem. my speed is at 1.00. you can see...

yeah that was the issue . Thankfully the setup was easy enough to redo.

I think this is a rendering issue. here's what i do.

1. render out frames in c4d (.jpg or .png)
2. import those frames into AE
3. send that comp to render que
4. render out quicktime dxv
5. drag that quicktime file into resolume
