Re: Canon DSLR as input through BMD Intensity Shuttle

Yes indeed! I must have skipped one of the resolutions when I tried it the first time. Works like a charm! I managed to get rid of all the screen info quite easily. Now in need of a good telelens...

Canon DSLR as input through BMD Intensity Shuttle

Hi guys, so I got an Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt today. I allready tested it with the s-video input coming from my old macbook pro and this works ok. Since I have a Canon 550D DSLR as well I thought I'd try to have that as an input (using an mini hdmi - hdmi cable). Now at first sight this doesn't...

Re: BlackMagic Ultra Studio Mini Capture

Hey guys, I emailed BMD with the following question: "Hello, on the Ultrastudio product page it is stated that the VJ software Resolume is supported. Before I order one I would just want to make sure if that includes the "Mini Recorder" version in the Ultrastudio line up. Have you tes...

Re: BlackMagic Ultra Studio Mini Capture

On their Ultrastudio product page (which includes the mini recorder) they literally state that "UltraStudio is fully compatible with your favorite software." AND "VJ use supports Resolume Avenue 4". The don't seem to make a difference between the mini/express/4K versions. Let's h...

Re: BlackMagic Ultra Studio Mini Capture

I'd be interested in hearing some feedback as well. Especially how well it behaves on a MBP Retina. If someone has this set up, please get back with some info (latency, quality,...)

Thanks

Re: Output via capture cards not supported at this time

I was wondering how the deal was with the Retina Macbook Pro? Can you use a Thunderbolt capture card (i.e. Blackmagic Intensity) for the input and use the second Thunderbolt port for output with a minidisplayport to VGA/DVI converter (i.e. the ones that Apple sells)? Or use the HDMI output? I'm usin...

Re: Multiple live inputs, which possibilities?

Hey Nils, I'm wondering if you were able to successfully put a system together? I also am trying to bring multiple live streams into Resolume software since i'll then try and sync midi or osc to it. Haven't been able to figure out how to do this effectively and inexpensively any input would be welc...

Re: Multiple live inputs, which possibilities?

Thanks again for the info, guys. After more searching and reading, apparently the "Intensity Shuttle for Thunderbolt" way wouldn't work because Thunderbolt (at the moment) doesn't allow simultaneous use of the input and output. Soooooo, is this only a thunderbolt problem? If I would use a ...
