snap midi controller before change

Hi! When assigning midi controls to "active layer", "active clip" etc. a snap-in midi control function would be nice. for example the current opacity of the (new) active layer is 75% - the assigned controller is at 15%. Moving the controller causes a jump of the opacity from 75% ...

Re: midi assignment problems

I agree with you - layer mapping is very important for me too, as I want to have the same certain effects on all layers (e.g. RGB color correction) and I want to be able to control those parameters without taking care of the current active layer. - I think this is also not possible at the moment. I ...

Re: midi assignment problems

Hi!

I've posted something similar a few weeks ago. I think it maps to the clip instead the layer.

Re: IN-OUT POINTS

Yeah! - if the clip is paused, "SHIFT"-key while moving the IN point works ;) - thanks for this hint!

again MIDI mapping / per layer

Hi, I cannot find out how to map 3 differnt sliders (MIDI) to the LAYER speed (in timeline mode). When in Application (Layer) mapping mode it works, but only for the active layer (doesn't matter which clip is playing in the active layer) --> okay When in Application (Deck) mode, it maps to the curre...

Re: dashboard knobs/mapping (layer / clip)

Thanks for your answer, Bart.

Just to let you know: if I run a clip (in a layer) and add a clip effect, it works the same way like layer effects do. (switch from "Link1" to "Link2" and back to "Link1" and everything is in sync)

dashboard knobs/mapping (layer / clip)

Hi! I have discovered a strange behaviour when mapping dashboard knobs of layers. It looks like it is necessary to change the mapping of "Link1" to any other link (e.g. "Link2") and then back to "Link1" to make it work (please see the video (rename to .mov)). Dashboard ...

Re: feature: export composition (incl. all media)

Yes Find/Replace works (just tested it with a 3 clip composition). Nevertheless IMHO Avenue should support this feature (not my texteditor ;) ). Because even with the find/replace workaround, I have to have the same directory structure on Win and on Mac. If I use video files from different folders t...

Re: Burn transition --> black output

GeeEs, I can reproduce this on my XP with ATI card (did not try on Vista /nvidia yet). But the problem is also on the lower layer. (however demo footage on the lower layer will not show this issue - unless you look very close :geek: !) I've copied Bass 2 from the middle layer to the top and lower la...

Re: Burn transition --> black output

thanks for testing everyone! ;) I totally agree with syzygy about the demo footage thing. Just tried it with the demo footage on Vista32 SP1 and XP SP3 on both systems exactly the same bahaviour. (as described before) :( next I've checked my drivers (I should hae done taht before, I know  ) (a...
