Re: Best MacbookPro Graphics/setup?

Macbook retina 15 late 2016 with touch bar with Radeon Pro 460 with 4GB is the fastest model.
You can get Radeon Pro 460 on basic model (2399USD) with 200$ extra.
This graphic card is around two times faster than Geforce 750.

Re: Artfox LED Video Panels? Or Other Suggestions?

Brand means not so much. This screens are like lego - choose parts and make you own screen. They always have low budget screens for price list or high spec descent screens. Price difference is +30+50% for same pixel pitch If you choose good LED Laps, High refresh Driver IC, and calibrate screen at f...

Re: New build 2U Rack PC

Looks great. But i prefer 4U with reduced depth. Because every other my video rack hardware is also reduced depth. It is easier to work with all this in shallow depth rack. And saves weight and space. It fits full size mobo + 7 PCIe for you video Card and different video capture stuff. I like iStar ...

Re: Datapath output 4x1 - 6240x1080

I use the Gefen GTB-HDBT-POL-BLK which you can find on eBay for ~$250 new. 4k at 60 fps - great! Main question - is it compatible with Datapath FX4 Display port 1.2 4k at 60 fps? Unfortunately, FX4 has only HDMI 1.4 input and is limited at 4k to 30FPS. Considering stuttering Resolume playback, cutt...

Re: New build, GPU choice

Fire Pro may have some advantages as well as Quadro, because different outputs can be framelocked. Usual GTX and Radeon Cards will have some delay between different outputs.

Re: Is Resolume supporting HEVC (H.265)?

If you need to play anything not supported by Resolume, route another player (VLC, GrandVJ etc) via Syphon into Resolume. This way you need zero time to recode, also i found this configuration pretty stable, i had far more problems recoding video in last minute and droping it into resolume. If you a...

Re: AJA U-TAP capture card

What about latency? Is low, is it consistent? (considering USB-connection).
We have quite a bunch of thunderbolt hardware (including Windows PC racks with thunderbolt ports) and overall are happy with them.

Re: Datapath FX4 and FX4-SDI Delay and Lag

From Datapath support (fast reply, wow): 1 frame latency between input and outputs if genlocked. Up to 2 frames latency if free run (not genlocked) Regarding scaling and cropping, these have no impact on the latency. I found this latency extremely low for the task Datapath is doing and considering t...

Re: Datapath FX4 and FX4-SDI Delay and Lag

30 ms is very nice! But it is for X4 not FX4 or for FX4-SDI/ This new models have genlock, so we can hope for even lower latency! 1 frame delay for 25 fps PAL camera input is already 40 ms. So 30ms is just 1 frame, when i used to see around 4 frames for hardware scalers from Blackmagic and Datavideo...
