We have the same problem with MS-1 codec. I think it's related to certain codecs, Bart / Edwin any light on this?

Sounds cool, but you almost would need a NLE timeline, for tuning the keys pressed. and fine tuning your 'recorded' show. You could always do it as. DJ Traktor Studio does it, with DUB-mode. And add de-interlace and resize (400x300) in virtualdub mpeg2! Codecs have lot of trouble with interlaced material, and results will be poor.
