Re: No more "Next/Previous Deck" button?

Why would you not include this? It would be ideal to press a single button to either go left in the clips, or right in the clips. And another button to toggle automatic cycling through all the clips in a layer. One clip ends, it plays the next clip, and so on. Once it hits the last clip in the layer...

Re: problem with HD and high resolution video

BTW correct me if I'm wrong, but the three most important factors in Resolume performance are: GPU, HD speed, and codec used. I don't think it's going to matter if you're running the fastest i7 out there, as CPU is not the bottleneck.

Re: problem with HD and high resolution video

Hey Aliasali If you are experiencing jerky playback, this is most likely because Resolume cannot read the pixel information fast enough. For smooth full HD playback across multiple layers, we recommend storing your footage on an external or internal SSD drive. We have run tests with a setup quite s...

Re: Buy an SSD hard drive and VJ with your hair on fire!

Just wanted to report that my attempted upgrade to the Crucial c300 was a disaster. I thought I would swap (1) 128GB c300 for the (2) 60gb Agility 2s I have been using, but NONONO! Resolume began freezing as soon as I did any speed ramping/reverse/etc. using clips playing from the c300. No matter wh...

Re: X/Y control over layer position

Here's the thing: The way Resolume seems to work is to allow you to scroll the layers right out of the display, and I'm hoping to fix this in one of these ways: a. Layer can only be scrolled to the limits of it's bounding box, so you will always see imagery. Worst case, you hit the max X or Y and sc...

X/Y control over layer position

Hi Anyone know if it's possible to use some sort of touchpad or kaos pad-type device to have control over X/Y position of a layer? Ideally, I could use a knob to scale the layer and the X/Y controller to move the layer left-right and up-down. The layers would also be locked within their own boundary...

Re: DXV picture quality ?

It all depends on your needs. For my case, space is still a priority because I need to fit the clips on SSD. SSD is expensive, so I tend to buy 60GB volumes (which also seem more stable than larger SSD). I also want to be able to play my clips in VLC and other media players (one never knows what sor...

Re: FFT sync

I don't know why people say FFT is so CPU-heavy? It only runs at 12% CPU for me, and I have a mid-level Athlon II x4. The reality is that tap tempo is the best way to sync stuff, but it's not good at getting the "jitter" you get with FFT. Will deffo try with my ASIO sound card and see if i...

Re: DXV picture quality ?

Well, file sizes tend to be much larger for video, yes? And I want to keep all my clips on SSD, so the smaller, the better (as long as quality stays high). Why would you want to have a DXV collection that is way larger than it needs to be?
