new modded ATI drivers

So if you have an ATI card you might have noticed that omega drivers quit updating a while ago... And ATI doesn't release drivers for notebooks, leaves it up to notebook manufacturers.. which never update them.. The first trick I learned to update drivers is complicated and requires tools to mod the...

Re: Resolume alternative for best picture quality

have you tried OpenTZT. it is a free video mixxing application similar to the older versions of Resolume. perfect for triggering clips and mixxing them without the need for an additional controller. openTZT is also rock solid, if it opens it wont crash which is good to know for live performances.. I...

Re: Video Mapping in Resolume?

You can stream resolume2.4 into VVVV via bigfug Memory streaming plugin and map via VVVV. I have done this at multiple parties. boom

Re: geforce gtx 260² - any thoughts

Yep, Only options are high quality squarepixel video.. I have never understood the need for a V4 in case of crash... I still don't use resolume3 live for that reason. VGA is so much cleaner, especially if you want to create a next-level experience for those who momentarily gaze at screen. HDMI and D...

Re: geforce gtx 260² - any thoughts

currently I would go with an ATI 5 series with DDR5 memory. instruction sets like cuda and others that offload CPU stuff to GPU don't get used for video very much... I would select GPU also with what chipset your motherboard is using. i.e. if using nForce chipset get an nvidia card... ATI NB/SB get ...

Re: one double and a single screen

So how has the testing of this config been going? I have been curious as to how resolume3 handles multiple graphics cards. Does openGL utilize the hardware of the card that outputs, or the card that the interface is running on? How tightly coupled is the interface with the render engine (similar to ...

Re: Streaming Video off a USB Stick

they would work maybe to stream one clip from. 25Mb/s isn't very fast, look at the post about the SSD from bart, fast is 150Mb/s SSD standard drive do about 50-80Mb/s. It can lighten the load of your internal hard drive, by streaming only 2 clips from internal drive and 3rd/4th clip off USB stick yo...

Indeo security issue

I just wanted to post this to the community to ensure everyone keeps their gig machine working smooth. This only applies to windows XP users who often use the Indeo codec. There is a vulnerability in the indeo codec on windowsXP... It is possible to download a clip in indeo format with some bad bits...

Re: "VH Screen Capture" Virtual DirectShow Driver in Resolume

Didn't I post this same capture filter here a while ago... Yep works great... pipe any window into resolume with few frames latency but no anti-aliasing... FYI, the bigfug streaming plugin is faster and higher quality if still using resolume 2.41 or other mixxers. Make sure to edit your config file ...

'endless' midi mapping

back in 2.4 it was easy to set a midi parameter to 'endless', which is very usefull for scratching long video clips on a midi controller. Currently if I map control to playhead, it scratches too fast and looks jerky. This feature was essential for using endless rotary encoders like the behringer bcr...
