I cringe at the thought of installing Pinnacle software on my computer. My Pinnacle gear works flawlessly with windows movie maker so maybe you could try that instead. I would also recommend trying it with virtual dub

try vixy.net or zamzar.com. you copy/paste the url of the video you want and it converts it into a usable format

With a lot of clips, especially ones that have been downloaded, I find that the first frame is often blank. This of course means that I have no preview available and I am often guessing what clip I am about to throw up on the screen. It would be freakin awesome if I could select which frame is displ...

MJPEG seems to be pretty popular but I'm no expert on Codecs. If you still own a PC I suggest using Livid Instruments Batch Processor. Otherwise there are a number of converters out there. Try searching vjforums.com. If only need to convert a few videos, then I would suggest using quicktime
