Re: AJA U-TAP capture card

What about latency? Is low, is it consistent? (considering USB-connection).
We have quite a bunch of thunderbolt hardware (including Windows PC racks with thunderbolt ports) and overall are happy with them.

Re: Datapath FX4 and FX4-SDI Delay and Lag

From Datapath support (fast reply, wow): 1 frame latency between input and outputs if genlocked. Up to 2 frames latency if free run (not genlocked) Regarding scaling and cropping, these have no impact on the latency. I found this latency extremely low for the task Datapath is doing and considering t...

Re: Datapath FX4 and FX4-SDI Delay and Lag

30 ms is very nice! But it is for X4 not FX4 or for FX4-SDI/ This new models have genlock, so we can hope for even lower latency! 1 frame delay for 25 fps PAL camera input is already 40 ms. So 30ms is just 1 frame, when i used to see around 4 frames for hardware scalers from Blackmagic and Datavideo...

Datapath FX4 and FX4-SDI Delay and Lag

Hi everyone! Sorry for creating this new topic, maybe later it will better to stitch all info about datapath in one topic. But now i do not have a lot of time to decide Datapath FX4 purchase, so fast answer is very welcome. We plan to buy both FX4 and FX4-sdi versions. There is no information on how...

Old question, but new variables - MAC or PC in 2016

Back in 2012 it was very simple: only Mac. Syphon+Quartz was great addition. Macbook Retina offered 3 video-outs of thunderbolt capture. And it is just my opinion, but for me Resolume was much more stable under Mac and video+audio clips played smothly on Mac and it was very hard to play with audio b...

Re: Selling Rackmount Mac/Win mediaserver

Think price is quite high. Too much money for Ivy Bridge CPU and Geforce 7-series in time of Skylake and Broadwell-E and DDR4 and Geforce 9-series. And fast M2 ssd and so on and on.
Also, you can add not so much and get a Mac Pro trash bin.

Re: Blackmagic Decklink Quad issue *fixed*

If your computer can not provide enought bandwidth for capture cards (free pci-express lanes) your will expirience all sorts of troubles with puzzled and incoplete inputs detection and other glitches. Better to go to lga2011 PLATFORM, but ever there your must be precautious and prepared.

Re: EDID Managers

Linsn is upgrading its hardware. Maybe your card was a bit newer with incard edid done not so disastrous. I started to work with linsn long ago and went all circles of hell. Whether or not your videocard or matrox will detect linsn depends on multiple factors. Starting from sending card hardware rev...

Re: EDID Managers

My Gefen DVI detective died very shortly after purchase. Kramer and Startech works but i am not too happy with all three of them because they cannot force matrox tripple head to send signal to linsn sending cards.
